For this Esperanza at Tiburon home, my client came to me from a Traditional French Country home with the desire for a cleaner transitional feel, yet still have an inviting warmth, which is reflected in the color palette we chose. The furniture layout is conducive to good conversation and casual entertaining, with an elegant comfort. We developed the color story from my client’s hand-knotted silken wool rug from Kravet with its subtle leaf and vine motif that shimmered with platinum silvers, gray blues and golden accents. From there, we springboarded into a sophisticated palette to mimic those colors throughout the home.
For the Breakfast Nook, dining together with family and friends was very important to my clients, so we had a custom table fabricated to allow for maximum seating. To brighten the area, I incorporated working Roman Shades with a beautiful vine and leaf pattern coordinating with the life-friendly Sunbrella slipcovered dining chairs.
In the Master Bedroom, the inviting upholstered bed is dressed with relaxed Belgian linen with a shimmering Colefax and Fowler accent pillow adorned with Samuel and Sons glass beads – bringing out the shimmery quality of the contemporary painting.
